The St.
George Illawarra Dragons have announced that Ella Koster and Alexis Tauaneai, two promising teenagers, have agreed to multi-year extensions with the club.
According to the Dragons' official website, Koster, 18, has signed a two-year extension that will keep her at the club until at least the end of the 2025 NRLW season.
Tauaneai, also 18, has inked an extension that will see her remain a Dragon until at least the end of 2026.
Koster, a highly-touted local junior, captained the Steelers' Tarsha Gale Cup side earlier this year before making the leap to NRLW level in Round 1.
In her eight appearances, she showcased her skills by scoring two tries, averaging 69 run metres, and making 192 tackles at an impressive 90% efficiency.
Not only did Koster excel on the field, but she also displayed her versatility by playing in various positions, including the middle, on the edge, and in the centres.
Her outstanding performance throughout the season earned her the club's prestigious Emerging Talent Award at the end-of-season NRLW Awards.
As a proud Gweagal and Wiradjuri woman, Koster's success represents not only her talent but also the diversity and inclusivity of the Dragons as a club.
The team is excited to have Koster and Tauaneai on board for the foreseeable future, as they continue to nurture young talent and build a strong roster.
