Brigginshaw & Upton Named NRLW Co-Captains
Rugby league veteran Ali Brigginshaw and four-time premiership winner Tamika Upton have been appointed as Co-Captains of the Broncos NRLW squad for the 2025 season, as reported by broncos.com.au.
The duo boasts over 80 combined NRLW games and a rich history in teamwork spanning the Broncos, Queensland, and Australia.
This marks the first instance of the Club designating NRLW Co-Captains to lead the team through its longest season to date.
Upton, who hails from Rockhampton, debuted with the Broncos in 2019, winning two premierships prior to her transition to the Newcastle Knights.
She returned to the Broncos this season after being awarded the 2023 Dally M Medal and expressed her happiness about rejoining the team, stating, "I'm embracing my new role."
