Dolphins Star Trai Fuller Attracts Interest

Dolphins standout Trai Fuller is now reportedly being made available to teams in the English Super League, as he faces competition for the coveted number one jersey from Kristian Woolf's squad.

Before the season began, there was growing anticipation that Fuller would take on the fullback position for the Dolphins in 2026, which would push Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow into the centres.

This lineup was seen during the Dolphins' final match of 2025, as Fuller's performance in late 2024 and his return from injury in 2025 made him a vital asset.

Despite Fuller's impressive form, Tabuai-Fidow, who had a key role for the Queensland Maroons in Game 3 of last year's State of Origin, was awarded the fullback role, with Woolf indicating he saw no reason to change that choice.

These remarks and the ongoing selection decisions, which extend into Round 2, imply that Fuller, whose contract expires at the end of 2026, may not have much longer with the team in south-east Queensland.

Other NRL teams, such as the Perth Bears, might also pursue Fuller, but Love Rugby League reports that he has now been offered to clubs in the Super League.

While Fuller has expressed a willingness to stay with the Dolphins, he is likely exploring various options with the goal of becoming a starting fullback in 2026.

It is thought that the Perth Bears are among those interested in Fuller, who could fill their need for a fullback as they currently lack a specialist in that position, alongside Cronulla Sharks' William Kennedy as potential options.
