Isaiya Katoa, the Dolphins' halfback, has caught the attention of NSW selectors and received an invitation to join the Blues camp ahead of the State of Origin decider in Brisbane.

Although the 21-year-old is unlikely to play in Game Three, this invitation reflects a growing belief in his potential for the future of the sky-blue No.

NSW coach Laurie Daley emphasized that the offer is meant as a development opportunity for Katoa, allowing him to experience the elite representative environment.

This decision comes as the Blues manage some concerns in their halves, with Nathan Cleary dealing with a groin issue and Jarome Luai returning from an infection.

Despite these concerns, both players are expected to be fit for the series finale.

Katoa's selection follows a strong performance in the Dolphins' recent 50-28 victory over South Sydney.
