The Dolphins have successfully solidified a vital member of their forward pack by securing a popular player for another season.

On Tuesday, the club announced that Connelly Lemuelu will extend his contract through at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.

As a member of the Dolphins' inaugural team in 2023, Lemuelu's new deal further establishes him as a foundational figure within the organization.

At 27 years old, he has already made his mark in Dolphins history by scoring the game-winning try in their first match against the Sydney Roosters, leading to a 28-18 victory.

Since that milestone, Lemuelu has emerged as one of the league's most dependable edge forwards, showcasing consistent performances in his 61 matches for the club.

His offensive capabilities were particularly highlighted in 2025, when he achieved a career-high of nine tries. His prowess on the edge has been instrumental in the club's ongoing development.

Dolphins chief executive Terry Reader emphasized that Lemuelu's contract extension signifies his crucial role in the club's long-term vision.
