Dolphins' Playoff Hopes Diminish with Herbie Injury

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Dolphins are facing a significant setback in their playoff aspirations as star center Herbie Farnworth may be out for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, this injury resembles a previous incident involving Melbourne Storm's Sua Fa'alogo, who also suffered a similar injury after making a line-break and seemingly heading for a score.

Farnworth, assisted off the field, now has his season in jeopardy, with little chance of returning before the 2025 NRL Finals series.

Coach Kristian Woolf addressed the media after a thrilling win against the New Zealand Warriors, confirming the early assessment of Farnworth's injury.

"It's obviously a hamstring.

It's going to be some sort of period.

How bad it is we don't quite know yet," Woolf stated.

He added, "It's not a little strain.

It's going to be at least four, six weeks, something like that."

This unfortunate development adds to the club's long-standing injury woes and casts a shadow over the team's remaining matches as they aim for a spot in the finals.
