Dolphins' Playoff Dreams Dim After Farnworth Injury

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

The Dolphins' playoff hopes have taken a severe hit with the potential season-ending injury of star center Herbie Farnworth.

Reports from zerotackle.com indicate that Farnworth sustained a hamstring injury in a play reminiscent of a previous injury to Melbourne Storm fullback Sua Fa'alogo.

While attempting a line-break that seemed likely to result in a score, Farnworth had to stop abruptly due to the injury.

Assisted from the field, Farnworth's participation in remaining regular-season games appears doubtful, casting a shadow over the team's chances as they approach the 2025 NRL Finals series.

If he is officially sidelined for the season, he will join several key players on the injury list, including Daniel Saifiti (shoulder), Jack Bostock (knee), Max Plath (knee), Thomas Flegler (shoulder), and Tom Gilbert (shoulder), all of whom will also miss the remainder of the year.

In some positive news, back-rower Kulikefu Finefeuiaki is expected to make his return from a thumb injury in Round 24.
