Dolphins Legend Retires After Premiership Win

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Dolphins successfully acquired several legends from the Melbourne Storm, including Felise Kaufusi and the Bromwich brothers, as they entered the league in 2023.

Kenneath 'Kenny' Bromwich, the younger of the Bromwich siblings, has announced his retirement from professional rugby league, joining his teammate Mark Nicholls in concluding a significant career.

Bromwich declared that the 2025 season would mark his final year, having played 260 NRL matches over 13 seasons with both the Storm and Dolphins. He has also represented New Zealand Kiwis and Māori All Stars in 19 international games.

A premiership winner with the Storm in 2017 and 2020, Bromwich was among the Dolphins' first signings for their inaugural season.

There has been no indication that Bromwich is considering moving overseas, and with no reports regarding opportunities in the Super League, it appears likely that the 33-year-old will retire having only played for two clubs, much like his brother Jesse.
