Dolphins' Junior swims away from familiar waters

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Junior Tupou, a young player for The Dolphins, has been granted permission to explore his options despite being under contract until the end of 2027.

Initially seen as a key addition to the team's back-line when he joined, Tupou has only made two appearances this season.

His limited playtime is attributed to injuries and competition from teammates Jack Bostock and Jake Averillo.

At just 22 years old, Tupou still has significant potential, but he has had to spend most of the year in the QLD Cup due to the challenges faced during his last season with the Wests Tigers.

Reports suggest that rival teams have been informed of Tupou's situation, and he may be considering offers from outside The Dolphins.
