The Dolphins have secured the services of a talented young forward for the 2025 season as they gear up for a new chapter without Wayne Bennett at the helm and with Kristian Woolf taking charge.
Mason Teague, a versatile player who can slot in anywhere in the forwards from hooker to lock, was set to become a free agent next season, raising concerns that he could follow the footsteps of other departed stars like Jesse Bromwich, Tevita Pangai-Junior, Lachlan Hubner, and Euan Aitken.
But, Zero Tackle has confirmed that The Dolphins have exercised the mutual option in Teague's contract, ensuring he will don their colors until at least the conclusion of the 2025 NRL season.
Despite only making one appearance in the top-flight competition this year, the St Dominic's College product has demonstrated his potential to secure a regular place in the forward line, honing his skills in the Queensland Cup.
Having come off the bench in the recent clash against the Melbourne Storm, adding to his seven NRL appearances last season, Teague is poised to make a significant impact on the team's performance in the upcoming season.
