The Dolphins are enhancing their talent pool with the contract upgrades and extensions of three promising players: Tevita Naufahu, LJ Nonu, and John Fineanganofo, with arrangements extending through 2027.

Tevita Naufahu, who showcased his potential by running 176 meters in his NRL debut, received a contract upgrade in June and will now be part of the Dolphins' top 30 squad.

He joined the Dolphins in 2024, coming from a junior rugby union background, after attending St Kentigern College in Auckland.

Naufahu was selected for the New Zealand Schoolboys team in 2023.

Playing for the Dolphins' affiliate, the Capras, he has made a significant impact, scoring eight tries in nine appearances in the Hostplus Cup this season and playing multiple positions including wing, centre, and fullback.

Additionally, he has one appearance for the Dolphins NRLQ Under 20 team during their Round 3 victory over the Broncos.

In another positive development for the club's outside back lineup, LJ Nonu is set to join Naufahu in the NRL squad in 2026.

His contract will position him as a development player for the remainder of 2025, followed by a transition to the top 30 for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
