In Round 2 of the NRLQ, the Dolphins secured a dominant victory against the Cowboys, winning 22-0 at the Townsville Sports Reserve.

The match kicked off with the Dolphins quickly gaining favorable field position due to a penalty right after the kickoff.

Within two minutes, Five-eighth Lachlan Buchbach skilfully evaded defenders to pass the ball to James Walsh, who opened the scoring with the first try, leading 4-0.

The game was characterized by a flurry of penalties, predominantly favoring the Cowboys, as both teams exchanged offensive plays.

Despite the Cowboys pushing hard, the Dolphins showcased strong defensive prowess, thwarting the Cowboys' attempts to score.

A notable moment occurred when Fullback Seth Carpenter successfully tackled Cowboys winger Cohen Dittmann, preventing a certain try just before the goal line.

Following this defensive stand, the Dolphins quickly transitioned to offense.

They moved swiftly down the field, culminating in front-rower Patrick Kailahi scoring a try under the posts, which was converted by Callum Bowles, extending their lead to 10-0.

The Cowboys attempted to respond with more penalties bringing them close to the Dolphins' goal line, but the Dolphins' defense remained resilient.

Winger LJ Nonu made a pivotal play by intercepting the ball just 5 meters from his own tryline, sprinting 95 meters to score the Dolphins' third try, significantly boosting their lead.

This match highlighted the Dolphins' solid defense and tactical play, contributing to their successful outcome in Townsville.
