Dolphins forward Felise Kaufusi will face a two-week suspension after receiving an early guilty plea for a dangerous tackle during the game against the North Queensland Cowboys.
Kaufusi was sin binned in the 12th minute for a late hit on Cowboys player Thomas Duffy, who remained in the game despite the incident.
The Dolphins managed to maintain their momentum, extending their lead from 4-0 to 14-0 while Kaufusi was off the field.
The NRL's match review committee has handed Kaufusi a Grade 3 charge, which means he can either accept the two-game suspension or contest it at the judiciary, risking an additional week if the decision goes against him.
While the Dolphins are currently performing well, his absence comes at a challenging time for the team, which is in its third season as the NRL's 17th club.
