Des Hasler, known for his tactical prowess, wasted no time in making his mark as the new coach for the Gold Coast Titans.

Ahead of their clash with the Dolphins in Trial 1 at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Hasler has implemented a plethora of changes to his game day line-up.

It seems as though he's thrown caution to the wind, as six interchange players have been promoted to the starting line-up.

This bold move is reminiscent of a daring play in the final minutes of a tight match.

Among the standout changes, Tom Weaver will take the reins in the halves right from kick-off, while the exciting new recruit, Harley Smith-Shields, gets his shot in the centres from the opening whistle.

The selection of these players from the onset displays Hasler's faith in their abilities and his desire to shake things up.

Additionally, stand-in captain Joe Stimson will start at lock, bringing a strong and determined presence to the field.

The young and talented forward pack, consisting of Fa'asuamaleaui, Pahulu, Haas, Hau, and Sikahele, will no doubt add fire and tenacity to the Titans' game.

Meanwhile, the withdrawal of Seth Nikotemo has paved the way for the return of Joe Vuna, a former Titan, who will now have the chance to prove himself once again as a train-and-trialist for the team.

This clash against the Dolphins promises to be a physical battle between two near full-strength teams, with both sides eager to assert their dominance on the field.

As the anticipation builds, Rugby League fans can catch all the action at 5.15pm (AEST) on Fox League and Kayo Sports.
