Brisbane Broncos forward Jordan Riki is set to miss the next two weeks of play after being charged with a Grade 2 careless high tackle during a clash against the Dolphins.
The incident occurred at the end of the first half when Riki was penalized for a tackle on Dolphins winger Jack Bostock, who had to undergo a Head Injury Assessment as a result.
Although Bostock passed the assessment, the match review committee deemed Riki's tackle to be a serious offence, leading to the suspension.
If Riki accepts an early guilty plea, he will be out for two matches.
However, if he chooses to challenge the charge and is unsuccessful, he will face a three-match suspension.
Despite not being sin binned during the game, the severity of the tackle has resulted in Riki facing disciplinary action.
