Dolphin dazzles with decision, joins 2025 league team

Dolphins centre, Tesi Niu, has officially announced his new club for the 2025 season after securing victory in the QLD Cup and NRL State Championships with the Norths Devils.

A seasoned three-time Tongan international and former Australian Schoolboys representative, Niu made the switch to The Dolphins from the Brisbane Broncos in a bid to solidify his spot in the outside backs.

Despite only featuring in seven matches this season, down from 17 in 2023, Niu found himself playing second fiddle to the likes of Herbie Farnworth, Jake Averillo, Jack Bostock, and Jamayne Isaako.

The recent arrivals of Averillo and Farnworth meant Niu was ready to seek greener pastures and pursue a fresh opportunity elsewhere.

In an exclusive chat with Zero Tackle, Tesi Niu revealed that he will be taking his talents to the Super League arena, donning the colors of the Leigh Leopards come the upcoming season.

The young gun is set to tackle this new challenge head-on with his trademark speed and agility, ready to make a splash in the British competition.
