The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs continued their undefeated start to the season with a 20-6 victory over the Cronulla Sharks.

This win marked the Bulldogs' first 4-0 start to a season since 1993.

Jack Todd made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs, while Bronson Xerri scored two tries against his former club.

Jacob Preston opened the scoring for the Bulldogs with a skillful play that resulted in his second try of the season.

The Sharks responded with a try from Kayal Iro, who had a previous try disallowed due to a knock-on.

Nicho Hynes converted the try to give the Sharks a two-point lead.

A break from Kurt Mann nearly led to a try for Xerri before half-time, but Will Kennedy intercepted the pass.

However, Xerri managed to score a try later in the half, marking his first game at Sharks Stadium since playing for Cronulla in 2019.

The Bulldogs' coach was pleased with the team's performance, stating, "I was really proud of the way the boys played - especially on a wet track."

Despite the loss, Sharks coach John Morris praised his team's effort, saying, "I know it's a tough start but I'm proud of how they're hanging in there.

We are a very young side."

The Bulldogs now look ahead to their next match against the Brisbane Broncos, aiming to continue their winning streak.

The Sharks will regroup and prepare for their upcoming game against the St.

George Illawarra Dragons.

Overall, the Bulldogs' victory over the Sharks was a significant milestone in their season, showcasing their strong start and determination to continue their undefeated run.
