Does Sunday Showdown Sink or Soar?

Sunday special: Storm v Wests Tigers; Sea Eagles v Sharks

LeagueNews.co | Robbie Hamilton

This Sunday, the Women in League Round concludes with two exciting NRL matchups: the Storm facing off against the vastly improved Wests Tigers, and the Sea Eagles battling the Sharks at 4 Pines Park.

The Wests Tigers, energized by star recruits Jarome Luai, Terrell May, and Sunia Turuva, have made significant strides, securing five wins in 2025-just one fewer than their total for 2024.

However, Benji Marshall will be urging his team to put in a strong performance against the Storm, especially since only one of their victories has come against a finals team from the previous year-the Sharks in Round 8.

In the second match, fans can expect heightened emotions as the Sea Eagles and Sharks engage in their 111th meeting.

The rivalry, which began in 1967, has traditionally leaned towards Manly, but recent history shows the Sharks have gained the upper hand, winning five of the last six encounters, including the last three at 4 Pines Park.
