In a recent match, the Western Suburbs Magpies suffered a 36-18 defeat against South Sydney at Lidcombe Oval in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup.

The game saw some exciting moments and impressive plays from both teams.

One notable highlight was when Tommy Talau intercepted the ball, leading to Triston Reilly scoring off a well-executed Zane Camroux grubber.

Another thrilling moment occurred when AJ Kepaoa showcased his agility with an acrobatic leap in the left corner, bringing the Magpies within two points at half-time.

However, Souths quickly retaliated, with Jacob Gagai scoring a try after a fantastic offloading move, followed by another try just four minutes later due to a Magpies fumble in-goal.

Rabbitohs skipper Dean Hawkins also got on the scoreboard, grabbing a try shortly after.

Kepaoa later intercepted a wayward pass and demonstrated his speed by running an impressive 50 meters to score the Magpies' third try.

The Rabbitohs continued their dominance with Dion Teaupa adding another try to their tally.

However, the Magpies managed to end the game on a positive note as Triston Reilly showcased his smooth movement to score his twelfth try of the NSW Cup season.
