The Bulldogs were determined to claw their way back into the game, but the Rabbitohs proved too strong in the end.

Jack Wighton, the star recruit, put on a stellar performance with a double and some impressive metres gained on the field.

The Rabbitohs secured their sixth consecutive win in the long-standing Good Friday clash.

The first points of the game came from the Rabbitohs after a penalty against Reed Mahoney for a late hit on Latrell Mitchell.

Thomas Burgess found the try line in the ninth minute, with Mitchell converting for an early 6-0 lead.

Wighton then showed his strength by breaking through a tackle to score another try just four minutes later.

The Bulldogs fought back in the 25th minute with Viliame Kikau setting up Josh Addo-Carr, who then passed to Burton for his first try of the season.

However, the Rabbitohs maintained their lead and held off the Bulldogs' surge.

Despite the Bulldogs' efforts and determination, the Rabbitohs emerged victorious in the end.

It was a hard-fought battle on the field, but the Rabbitohs' winning streak continues.
