'I'll be ready': Demetriou speaks out on Souths departure as superstar issues heartfelt message

Former Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou has finally broken his silence, declaring that his "drive to coach in the NRL remains as strong as ever".

The 48-year-old was given the boot by South Sydney bigwigs on May 1 after a series of high-level discussions that ultimately sealed his fate.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Demetriou expressed his belief that the recent tough times will only enhance his coaching credentials for future NRL roles.

"I harbor no ill feelings towards South Sydney," he said, showing a remarkable level of sportsmanship despite enduring weeks of uncertainty about his coaching future.

"In fact, I see this challenge as an opportunity to grow and become a stronger coach," he added confidently.

With his eye on the prize, Demetriou made it clear that he is not giving up on his coaching dreams, indicating that he is determined to bounce back stronger than ever.
