In the lead-up to the Queensland derby, the Titans have announced that young player Jaylan De Groot will join the bench for their match against the Cowboys.

This decision comes as he replaces Jacob Alick-Wiencke, who will revert to the 18th man position.

De Groot, 22, is making his return after recovering from a hamstring strain sustained during training last month; he had last played in Round 11 and has participated in eight games for Gold Coast this season.

Additionally, Moeaki Fotuaika has been moved to the bench, with Jaimin Jolliffe promoted to the starting side.

The rest of the team remains consistent with prior confirmations; however, Alofiana Khan-Pereira has been omitted, and Brian Kelly is set to return to the back five.

This reshuffle sees Jojo Fifita transitioning to the wing after being initially named in the centres.

The event will coincide with "Super Hero Sunday," a collaboration with Warner Bros.

Movie World that promises to enliven Cbus Super Stadium with superhero characters in the precinct before the game, as well as a superhero-themed half-time show.

The Titans will also participate in the NRL's "Beanies for Brain Cancer" initiative in Round 17, supporting the Mark Hughes Foundation.

Kick-off is scheduled for 4.05 PM and the match will be broadcast live on Channel 9, 9Now, Fox League, and Kayo Sports.
