Queensland have pulled off a stunning victory in the historic women's State of Origin decider, outclassing NSW with a score of 22-6.

The Maroons put on a defensive masterclass on a rainy night in Townsville, leaving the Blues scrambling to keep up.

After the controversial events of last year, where Queensland lifted the shield despite losing a game, the series was extended to include a decider.

This time, there was no doubt about the victor as Queensland's Tarryn Aiken and Ali Brigginshaw orchestrated a brilliant display of playmaking prowess.

The Blues, on the other hand, seemed lost on the field, unable to find their rhythm in attack and plagued by handling errors.

A shining moment for them came in the form of a trademark intercept try by Jaime Chapman, but it was not enough to turn the tide in their favor.

In the end, it was Queensland who reigned supreme, claiming the shield and showcasing their dominance in women's rugby league.

And to top it all off, Dami Im's performance of the national anthem added an extra layer of Aussie pride to the historic occasion.
