Daley eager to return for redemption mission as Blues back coach

Laurie Daley, the coach of the Westpac NSW Blues, has expressed his eagerness to return for another season, aiming to reclaim the State of Origin shield for the team.

According to nrl.com.au, Daley faced a setback as the Blues suffered a 24-12 defeat in the decider held at a sold-out Accor Stadium, marking his fourth loss in such crucial matches.

This disheartening outcome signals a rough start to his second tenure in charge, especially after NSW failed to maintain a 1-0 series lead.

Daley entered the campaign under significant pressure, following Michael Maguire's success in leading the Blues to a historic victory the previous year at Suncorp Stadium.

With only a 39% winning record as coach and just one series win out of six attempts, Daley is aware of the challenges ahead.

He signed a two-year contract late last year after Maguire's exit to the Brisbane Broncos, underscoring his commitment to improving the team's performance moving forward.
