Daley's Blues: Standing firm for a decisive bounce-back

Daley to stand by Blues as focus turns to decider

NSW Blues coach Laurie Daley has reaffirmed his commitment to the team following their narrow defeat in Game Two, as they prepare for the upcoming decider.

The Blues faced a daunting challenge, trailing 26-6 at halftime before mounting a spirited comeback, scoring four straight tries and closing the gap to just two points at Optus Stadium in Perth.

In the first half, Daley's halfback was hampered by an injury, necessitating that Luai and Latrell Mitchell shoulder most of the long kicking responsibilities, while Zac Lomax took over goal-kicking duties but struggled during the game.

Daley expressed his disappointment with the initial performance, emphasizing that he doesn't intend to make sweeping changes to the lineup.

He highlighted the team's strong second-half showing as a testament to their potential.

Instead of attributing the loss to player disruptions, Daley pointed out critical factors from the first half, mentioning "seven errors, an 8-0 penalty count to Queensland, and 22 missed tackles" as key contributors to the defeat.

Daley remains focused on regrouping, confident that the Blues can harness their second-half performance for success in the decider.
