Wests Tigers Under 17s Cubs have achieved a resounding victory with a scoreline of 40-4 against a Canterbury Bulldogs development team at Scully Park in Tamworth.
The home team managed to score only two tries in the second half, as they trailed 28-nil at halftime.
The initial try of the match was scored by right edge forward Byron Laupepa of the Tigers' "orange cubs" after just seven minutes.
This try was made possible by a clever short kick from the skillful five-eighth, Marc Tannous.
Following this, left side winger Riley Oitmann successfully crossed the try line, thanks to a well-executed attack initiated by halfback Alex Conti on the left edge.
Conti's conversion from the touchline increased the Tigers' lead to 12-nil after 12 minutes.
Tannous then played a crucial role in setting up the Tigers' third try, drawing the fullback towards him before sending centre Malik Amine across the try line.
Lucas Rosi further extended the Tigers' lead by barging over from close range.
Just before halftime, Conti once again displayed his exceptional skills by sending Oitmann over for his second try of the game.
