In a move that has rugby fans buzzing with anticipation, former New Zealand Rugby Union Sevens standout Moses Leo is set to follow in the footsteps of his cross-code teammate Will Warbrick as he joins the Melbourne Storm for the upcoming 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Originally slated to make the switch in 2026, Leo got an unexpected green light when New Zealand Rugby released him from his sevens contract ahead of schedule.

This allowed the speedy Olympian to make his way to the Storm earlier than expected, eager to absorb as much knowledge and experience as possible in order to hit the ground running and reach his full potential.

Leo's resume includes a standout performance against Australia in the Bronze-medal match at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, as well as representing New Zealand at the Paris Olympics earlier this year.

His hunger for success and willingness to learn is sure to make him a valuable asset to the Storm as they embark on their quest for glory in the upcoming seasons.

Following in the footsteps of his teammate Will Warbrick, who has enjoyed a stellar two-year stint at the Storm, Leo is determined to make his mark in the world of Rugby League and potentially earn himself a spot in the New Zealand Kiwis squad.

With Warbrick setting the bar high with his impressive performances for the Storm and earning an international call-up, the pressure is on for Leo to step up and show what he's made of on the Rugby League stage.
