Cronulla's Trindall targets Round 1 return

Pilot Medical Update – Braydon Trindall

Toby Rudolf is expected to spend three to four months out after undergoing an MCL reconstruction on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

The 133-game Cronulla Shark injured his knee during the club's round 15 victory over the Warriors.

Braydon Trindall had shoulder surgery on 2 October 2026, with the halfback targeting round one of the 2027 NRL season.

He dislocated his shoulder while scoring against the Canberra Raiders in round 24, then delayed surgery to return four weeks later and play in two finals.

Trindall faces a four-to-five-month recovery and is due to begin rehabilitation at the club next month, after taking time off.

The medical update was sponsored by Pilot, which describes itself as Australia's biggest men's healthcare startup.

Pilot says its telehealth platform has served more than 100,000 Australians since launching in February 2019, with a focus on improving men's healthcare access and reducing stigma around issues including sexual and mental health.
