Cronulla's new Sharks Leagues Club opens on Saturday, marking the end of a seven-year wait.
The project faced years of complications with developers and cost blowouts, making the opening a significant moment for the club.
It is not as momentous as Cronulla's first premiership, which came in 2016 after nearly half a century of waiting.
After that victory, captain Paul Gallen said it was time to "turn your porch lights off".
He was referring to Jack Gibson's famous comparison: waiting for the Sharks to win a title was "like leaving the porch lamp on for Harold Holt".
