Crichton's Injury: Blues Feel the Crunch

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

Stephen Crichton's participation in Game 1 of the 2025 State of Origin series is uncertain due to a new injury.

Initially under a cloud with a groin issue, he was seen limping off the field during a training session in Brisbane, with an ice pack on his groin.

Despite this setback, Blues officials are hopeful it's just a cork and that he will be cleared to play on Wednesday evening.

Crichton, a likely candidate for selection by coach Laurie Daley, has otherwise trained well despite the groin concern.

If he cannot play, Campbell Graham, currently on standby as the 18th man, would step into the starting lineup.
