Angus Crichton has spilled the beans on his wild ride from NSW Cup to NSW Blues, describing the whirlwind journey as a real sporting fairytale.

Not many punters would have put their money on Crichton wearing the Blues jersey when he was handed a spot on the bench for the opening two matches of the NRL season with the Roosters.

But like a true champion, Crichton never lost his faith in his own abilities and soon found himself wearing the sky blue of the State of Origin team.

It was like watching a last-minute try to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Just when it seemed like Crichton's time at the Roosters was on its way out with the arrival of David Fifita, fate intervened with Fifita's change of heart, leaving the door wide open for Crichton to secure a contract extension.

It was a real cliffhanger, but he managed to come out on top.

Admitting that he let his emotions get the best of him during the whole Fifita saga, Crichton has since buried the hatchet with coach Trent Robinson.

It's as if they were old footy mates who had a tiff but are now back on the same team, ready to take on any challengers that come their way.

With talks of French rugby clubs eyeing him up for a switch, it seems like Crichton is attracting interest from all corners of the sporting world.

It's like watching a game of 'pass the ball', with everyone wanting a piece of the action.

But one thing is for sure - this Aussie lad has a bright future ahead of him, whether it's on the rugby pitch or elsewhere.
