Rugby League powerhouse website weststigers.com.au has announced that Bryce Crane has been given the prestigious honor of captaining Australia in the groundbreaking Physical Disability Rugby League Test (PDRL) match against New Zealand in Auckland.
Crane, a key player in the Wests Tigers pathways system and Football Program Coordinator - Wests/Macarthur, has been a standout member of the Wests Tigers family.
Despite suffering a debilitating injury while playing rugby league that left him with severe nerve damage and paralysis in his right arm, the 22-year-old has excelled in the world of PDRL.
Leading the Aussie team, Crane made history by being part of the first Australian squad to venture to New Zealand for a showdown with the Kiwis.
The match was a nail-biter, with the home team snagging a victorious try on the final play to secure a 20-18 win.
Crane displayed immense skill on the field, scoring two tries and assisting in another in the close match.
His performance as the Ability Roos' captain was truly inspiring.
