Craig Fitzgibbon's mane problem ahead of 2025 selection

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

Craig Fitzgibbon is facing a real selection headache as the 2025 NRL season looms closer than a fullback chasing a runaway try.

With just under two weeks to go until the season kicks off, four teams are set to hit Vegas for what promises to be an explosive beginning to the season.

Most coaches have probably already nailed down their starting 13 and reserve benches, but Fitzgibbon is still scratching his head over who to include in his final 17.

While his starting lineup may be as predictable as a halfback's pass, the composition of his bench is still as up in the air as a bomb kicked high on the last tackle.

If Craig had hair, he'd be tearing it out as he contemplates his options for the interchange.

With injuries always a lurking threat, Fitzgibbon is feeling the pressure to finalize his decisions before the season opener.

It's a tough call for the Sharks coach, but as the saying goes, you've got to play the cards you're dealt.
