The North Queensland Cowboys have locked in their coaching and performance team for the 2025 NRL season, putting the final pieces of the puzzle together for what promises to be a competitive campaign.
Steve Sheppard, a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience in the Cowboys system, has been appointed as Todd Payten's right-hand man, joining forces with assistant coaches Justin Morgan and Ben Rauter.
Sheppard's journey within the club includes roles as NYC Assistant Coach and Head Coach of Elite Pathways, showcasing his dedication to the Cowboys cause.
With past experience as a Head Coach at Queensland Cup level with the Mackay Cutters, Sheppard brings a winning mentality to the coaching staff.
Adding to the coaching lineup is Brett O'Farrell, a specialist in contact, who brings a breadth of knowledge from his time at various clubs such as the Titans, Warriors, Eels, and Broncos, as well as a stint with the Wallabies.
O'Farrell's expertise will be invaluable in preparing the Cowboys for hard-fought battles on the field.
Meanwhile, Paul Bowman will continue to lead the team as Head of Performance, ensuring the players are in peak physical condition throughout the season.
Joining him is Englishman Dan Grange, who takes on the role of Head of Strength.
Grange, with experience at the Leeds Rhinos in the UK Super League and Gloucester Rugby in England's topflight rugby union competition, brings a global perspective to the Cowboys' training regime.
