The North Queensland Cowboys have successfully recruited two players from the Sydney Roosters' SG Ball Cup-winning squad, aiming to fortify their long-term prospects.
Following their 2025 SG Ball Cup victory, the Roosters have seen significant departures from their junior ranks, including Mikey Nassar to the Bulldogs and Phillip Lavakeiaho to the Sea Eagles.
Now, the Cowboys have added Cohen Dittmann and Tyson Walker, the younger brother of Sam Walker, to their roster.
Reports from zerotackle.com indicate that Walker's move comes despite having one year left on his contract with the Roosters.
Walker's acquisition is viewed as a potential long-term fix for the Cowboys' halfback challenges, with the Cowboys also retaining Zac Herdegen in their ranks.
