The North Queensland Cowboys have announced the departure of up-and-coming forward D'Jazirhae Pua'Avase, who was recently elevated to the Top 30 roster.
Despite being originally signed until 2025, the young gun from Kirwan State High School did not get the chance to make his mark in first-grade and instead honed his skills in the Queensland Cup with the Mackay Cutters.
At just 21 years old, Pua'Avase still has plenty of potential to fulfill and is a former teammate of the promising Jeremiah Nanai.
Rumors suggest that he will soon be donning a new jersey with another NRL team, potentially the Manly Sea Eagles.
His move coincides with Jaxson Paulo's switch to Townsville and the confirmed exit of Matthew Lodge, adding to the offseason flurry of player movements in the rugby league realm.
It's a tough game, but Pua'Avase will no doubt be looking to tackle this new opportunity with gusto and determination.
