Cotter has been charged by the MRC with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle for an incident involving Warriors back-rower Marata Niukore during the seventh minute at Suncorp Stadium.
Since this is Cotter's second offence, he faces a two-game suspension if he pleads guilty early; if he contests the charge and is unsuccessful, the suspension could increase to three games.
Additionally, Trindall received a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge following a first-half incident with Parramatta's halfback Mitchell Moses in Cronulla's 28-18 victory at the same venue.
