Connor Tracey addresses future amid Bulldogs contract uncertainty

Connor Tracey, one of 12 Canterbury Bulldogs players eligible to communicate with other teams, has shared his thoughts on his future as he nears the last year of his contract.

A key component of the Bulldogs' gameplay, Tracey has elevated his performance over the last two seasons since joining from the Cronulla Sharks, securely claiming the fullback role.

Despite facing three ACL injuries throughout his career, Tracey has shone in his position at the Belmore-based team, consistently delivering strong performances each week.

Even though there were reports in September indicating the club's interest in extending his contract long-term, no agreement has been reached, and he remains on course to become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2026 season.

"It's really not something I've sort of too much. I've got a good manager, so I just sort of let him handle it, and I'm just focused on training hard and really looking forward to getting in," Tracey stated during an appearance on The Chad Townsend Show.

"I've got next year anyway, so I feel like as a player you're looking at the year that's coming, you're not looking at the year after that, so I'm just leaving it to my manager.

"I'd love to stay at the Bulldogs. (It's) such a good club, and I'm always going to do my best for them when I put on the jersey."
