In a jestful nod, it seems Lindsay Collins is emerging as the new leader for the Maroons squad, quietly gaining respect with his meticulous attention to detail that ultimately leads to clutch performances on the field.

Collins' shining moment on the Origin stage occurred during the opening match in Adelaide last year, where he displayed unprecedented skills by snatching the ball from James Tedesco's clutches and setting up Cameron Munster for a game-winning try.

In Game Two, he was named player of the match, securing the series for Queensland.

It's clear that Collins is proving himself to be a key player in the Maroons squad, stepping up when it counts and earning the respect of his teammates.
