Coach Defends Team Amidst Losing Streak

‘They’re bloody trying’: Maguire defends Broncos after fifth straight defeat

Brisbane Broncos head coach Michael Maguire has stood firm in support of his team's performance, even amidst a disappointing string of losses against two of the league's weakest teams this season.

After suffering their fifth consecutive defeat on Saturday night to the Gold Coast Titans, Maguire emphasized that his players are "bloody trying" and underscored his confidence in their dedication to the game.

Following a dismal display against the St George Illawarra Dragons the previous week, Maguire commended the team's effort, even though victory eluded them in their encounter with the Titans.

"They're bloody trying. I've got a group that's trying hard it just things aren't clicking for us at time," Maguire expressed in a post-match interview.

He added, "We had two tries in the first half bounce away and I can't fault the effort the players are putting in."
