Yasmin Clydsdale, a forward for the nib Newcastle Knights NRLW team, has been appointed as the new captain ahead of the season opener on July 4.
The announcement was made during the team's season launch at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Clydsdale, a proud Novocastrian, has an impressive record, playing 28 games with the Knights and contributing significantly to the club's Grand Final victories in 2022 and 2023.
Additionally, she is the reigning NRLW Second Rower of the Year.
