Club signals interest in playmaker Volkman wieder

A new contender has thrown their hat back into the ring to secure the talents of the elusive playmaker, Ronald Volkman, who has been without a club since his shoulder injury sidelined him.

Volkman, who last hit the field in Round 27 of 2023, has spent all of 2024 on the sidelines recovering from surgery.

His future in the game seemed uncertain until this latest development.

After parting ways with the New Zealand Warriors last season, Volkman was set to shine with the St George Illawarra Dragons this year on a one-year deal.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans as a shoulder injury derailed his season before it even started.

Despite the Dragons' initial excitement about their new recruit, the delayed contract registration led to Volkman's release.

The club's premature celebrations, including photos of him training with the team, only added to the drama surrounding his future in the game.

But now, with another club sniffing around and showing renewed interest, Volkman may have a second chance to make his mark and prove his worth on the field.

Watch this space as the race for his signature heats up.
