Ben Hunt's future with the Dragons is looking as shaky as a wet weather rugby game down in Melbourne.
Speculation is rife that Storm dynamo Tyran Wishart could swoop in as a potential replacement for the Dragons skipper amid doubts about his long-term commitment.
Both Hunt and Wishart are set to hit the free-agent market at the end of 2025.
Hunt, who has previously expressed a desire to head back to his Queensland roots, found himself in a fiery exchange with coach Shane Flanagan following a tough loss to the Eels.
Rugby League guru Phil Rothfield dropped a bombshell on NRL 360, revealing that Flanagan reassured him that his relationship with Hunt was still on solid ground despite the heated confrontation.
"I had a chinwag with Flanno today and I asked him what was all that argy-bargy with Ben Hunt," Rothfield spilled.
"It looked like things got pretty heated out there on the field."
But with rumors swirling and tensions high, it's anyone's guess where Hunt will end up next season.
One thing's for sure, the Rugby League drama Down Under is far from over.
