Cleary aiming for more success with Ukraine after Euros triumph

Following his contributions to Ukraine's promotion in the European Championships, Jett Cleary is committed to helping the war-affected nation ascend the international rugby league rankings ahead of the 2030 World Cup.

The rookie Warriors playmaker, who is also the younger sibling of Panthers and Kangaroos star Nathan Cleary, played a crucial role in securing significant victories over Italy and Greece, leading Ukraine to top position in Group C of the 2025 Euros.

This achievement has secured Ukraine a place in Group B in 2026, which includes Malta, the Netherlands, and Serbia; one of these teams will face relegation to Group C.

Notably, Ukraine registered a 56-12 victory against the Netherlands in a preparatory match. Cleary is optimistic that with increased funding, Ukraine could take on more formidable challenges in the sport.
