Cleary Faces Suspension for High Tackle Charge

Cleary cops high tackle charge

NRL's Match Review Committee has charged Panthers co-captain Nathan Cleary after a trial match against the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on Friday night.

Cleary faces a grade two charge for a careless high tackle on Heamasi Makasini from the Wests Tigers during the first half.

If he accepts the early guilty plea, he could face a two-match suspension; however, contesting the charge could lead to a three-match ban.

The Panthers have until 12 PM on Monday to submit their plea.
