Cleary Considering NRL Future Moves

Twelve months away from being available in the transfer market, Nathan Cleary, the exceptional halfback for the Penrith Panthers, has expressed that he is "quite open" to the idea of exploring a potential move elsewhere.

Cleary is not only regarded as one of the top players in the NRL but is also being hailed as one of the greatest in rugby league history. His future discussions are expected to gain significant attention over the next year.

Having reached the pinnacle of success at both club and representative levels with the NSW Blues and Australia, many speculate that he could consider departing the NRL to be closer to his partner, Mary Fowler.

Recently, he has been linked to the emerging rugby union competition R360 and the Super League. Cleary has addressed his future aspirations openly.

Though he is committed to the Panthers until at least the conclusion of the 2027 NRL season, the talented halfback indicated that a transfer isn't entirely out of the question, especially considering that his father and coach, Ivan Cleary, will also conclude his contract at the same time.

"I've loved my time in Penrith, and it's home to me," he shared with The Sydney Morning Herald while gearing up for the 2025 Ashes Series against England. "I'm quite open to things in the future. Maybe having something different, but for the time being, yeah, I can't really see it happening."
