The St George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers junior representative sides were in fierce action during Round 3 of the NSWRL competitions over the weekend.

The Dragons' SG Ball Cup side put on an impressive performance, securing a resounding victory over the Bears and asserting their dominance at the top of the competition ladder.

Meanwhile, the quartet of Steelers outfits had a flawless Saturday, showcasing their formidable skills on the field.

Additionally, Frank Pritchard's Dragons Harold Matthews Cup unit celebrated their first triumph of the new year, solidifying their place as contenders.

Despite the excitement, fans were left disappointed as the Illawarra South Coast Dragons Laurie Daley Cup and Andrew Johns Cup clashes were postponed for the weekend.

However, amidst the action, a bold Loko Pasifiki Tonga charge came close to breaking the Bears' defense, setting the stage for right centre Campbell Lyons to score a crucial try with an impeccable delivery from Brandon Tikinau.

Although Zac Nachar nearly thwarted a Bears' attack, an unfortunate mishap allowed the hosts to get on the scoreboard.
