In a highly emotional week for the Brisbane Broncos, they managed to rally in the second half and secure a 22-18 victory over the Wests Tigers on Saturday in Newcastle.

According to broncos.com.au, Ciesiolka made a crucial late strike that propelled the Broncos to victory.

The team wore special jerseys honoring Toni Hunt and Lavinia Gould, with their initials displayed in a heart above the Broncos logo.

With just eight minutes left in the game, Ali Brigginshaw's team scored two crucial tries to snatch the win.

The Broncos' backs showcased their speed and helped them escape trouble early in the first half, but the Wests Tigers fought back and seemed poised to claim the victory in the second half after scoring consecutive tries.

However, the combined efforts of Julia Robinson and Shenae Ciesiolka, who amassed an impressive 346 run metres and made nine tackle breaks, ultimately guided the Broncos to triumph.

The first half was an intense battle, with both teams completing at over 70 percent, but the Broncos gained confidence as they dominated possession.
