'Strewth mate, we can't lose a bloke like Angus': Roosters rally behind Crichton

Angus Crichton has laid it all on the line about his future, but the boys in the Roosters' changing room are adamant they want him to stick around.

The lads in the Roosters squad have thrown their support behind Angus Crichton as he mulls over his next move in the wake of the club's signing of David Fifita for the upcoming season.

Crichton, 28, has been nothing short of a "ripper" edge forward in the NRL this year, according to Victor Radley, but the Aussie star is unsure if he'll still be wearing the red, white, and blue jersey next season with Fifita now in the picture.

"I've got a soft spot for Angus, he's been in cracking form this season, especially in the past month.

Mate, you just can't afford to let him go.

It's in the hands of the club and Angus now," Radley reckoned, pushing for Crichton's inclusion in the NSW team.

"Right now, all I want to see is him ripping it up on the field, which he's been doing.

"I just want to get out there and have a run alongside him.

He's an absolute weapon.

Let's not even think about him leaving.

Let him sort out his future and that's that."

Roosters winger Dom Young is a newcomer to the squad but he's already become a fan of Crichton's play on the left edge, especially after the stunning comeback he made following a stint in the reserves earlier in the season.

"I'd be gutted to see Angus leave.

He's been on fire on that left edge, mate.

From starting in reserve grade to tearing it up, he's been a real inspiration."
