Golden girl Chantay aces her communications exam
Chantay Kiria-Ratu, a soft-spoken halfback, is steadily gaining confidence in her role on Cronulla's NRLW team.
Her remarkable kicking skills were on display during a recent match, where she played a critical part in securing a 19-18 golden point victory over the Knights in Round 9.
Previously a five-eighth with the Titans and a member of the 2023 grand final squad, she now proudly wears the No. 7 jersey for the Sharks.
At just 20, she has the responsibility of directing experienced Origin players such as Tiana Penitani Gray, Ellie Johnston, Caitlan Johnston-Green, Emma Verran, and Georgia Hannaway.
Despite her youth, she confidently led the team during extra time last Sunday, achieving a field goal on her first attempt from 22 meters out.
